Industry expertise: Government

Whether it’s Defence, Art, Science, or Finance, all public sector departments and government agencies operate within a complex matrix of policy, compliance and security issues.

Identifying and adhering to these protocols is essential to a successful relocation project. Having completed many government and public sector relocations, Atlantis has repeatedly demonstrated our skills at sensitively navigating our clients through the process despite these constraints.

Atlantis is experienced at tendering for such projects and is aware of the level of public (and political) scrutiny which may be involved. We supply auditable documentation to support all stages of the project. We comply with security and screening clearances for all contractors.

Atlantis is commonly called on to support this sector with:

  • Strategic planning
  • Project Management
  • Library relocations
  • Relocation of classified and/or sensitive materials
  • Relocation of valuable artworks

testimonial

Atlantis provided relocation services for the Bureau of Meteorology’s relocation under a tight time frame.  This involved moving furniture and equipment for over 800 staff, including sensitive laboratory equipment.

Atlantis displayed a thorough understanding of all issues relating to removals. These included the need to address the human elements of the move especially the need for sensitivity to staff concerns. Their pre-planning skills were professional, their briefing of staff was very good and the level of assistance to staff was excellent.

I would rate their capability, experience and professionalism as excellent and that the professionalism of the Project Manager and his team were responsive to changes, made decisions quickly when required and just seemed to go that extra yard to assist.

testimonial

I would like to thank Atlantis very much for your contribution to our relocation. This was a large and multi layered relocation program; moving two groups of staff and relocating numerous staff within our two buildings.

Atlantis’ staff were more than willing to assist beyond the standard brief that had been given, often asking for tasks to do whilst they waited for trucks to arrive. All staff were courteous and pleasant to deal with.

The Project Manager’s patience sense of humour (in sometimes difficult circumstances), communication and project management skills, certainly made my role much easier.
